How is NeoGraft Hair Restoration Done?
First, Dr. Walker and his team will shave either your entire head or the section of the head from which hair follicles will be donated (typically the back of your head). Then, Dr. Walker and his team will utilize the NeoGraft system to skillfully and precisely extract individual hair follicles from the back of your head after injecting the donor and recipient site with a local anesthetic solution. Most patient also take a pain and relaxing medication to assure complete comfort during the procedure. The handpiece then moves the follicles into the storage area of the system, where they are lightly misted with a saline solution to prepare them for transplantation. Once prepared, the follicles are transplanted into the balding recipient site(s) of the head. We pay special attention to the direction that your hair is growing so that your new hair will blend in naturally. Patients will bring a snack with them, be able to use the bathroom if needed, and even eat a snack.

Following NeoGraft hair restoration, your treatment sites will be tender, and bandages will be placed on the treated areas for 48 hours. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs may be prescribed to lower the risk of infection and calm any irritation. The transplants should heal within about one week, and most people can return to their everyday routine within two weeks. Most people do not need to take time off of their jobs after surgery, depending on the nature of their job. Patients are allowed to wash their hair after a couple of days again. Dr. Walker will provide you with specific recovery instructions to ensure you properly care for your grafts after surgery. Most of transplanted hair will fully grow back over 3-6 months.
