How are Kybella Treatments Done?
During your Kybella treatment, a topical numbing cream will be offered to ensure that you are completely comfortable during your session. Dr. Walker will then administer multiple small injections under the chin using a small needle. The process takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. The exact number of injections that are needed will depend on the amount of submental fat that you have and your desired results.
Kybella Recovery
Following Kybella injections, you may experience mild swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection sites. There is little to no downtime required, and you can return to your everyday routine as soon as you feel comfortable. Because Kybella destroys and eliminates fat cells under the chin, no further treatment should be needed after final results are achieved, and results should be permanent.
The number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Dr. Walker will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal treatment goals. Each Kybella treatment session is given at least one month apart, and you should not receive more than six treatments.
